Father’s Day Photo Essay

My Dad: April 22, 1914 – January 15, 1981

Last year, a written piece. This year, a short photo essay. There are not many photos of him. Since one of his major hobbies was photography, he was mostly behind the camera instead of in front of it.

This first photo, a studio portrait, is my favorite. I’m guessing he was about 8 years old.

Awesome curls, your daddy had as a young boy. And I love the bowtie; a dapper gent. Happy father’s day to M as well!

Yes, u.e, he had an extensive wardrobe of regular and bow ties — enough to open a small shop! He liked to dress well. But, occasionally, his sense of style would completely desert him. i.e., a striped shirt with plaid pants. Oy, vey!

I shall pass along your Father’s Day wishes to M. And please pass along ours to your dad. He is most fortunate to have such a wonderful son! 🙂

    Thanks, u.e.!

Nice photo essay. I particularly like the photos taken at sleep-away camp.

Hi J! Thanks for the compliment. The one of the two of them at camp is a particular favorite of mine.
